Extensive corrosion problems effecting steel and reinforced concrete structures to become severely degraded throughout mining facilities.

Overview

Structural Remediation for Mining Facility Corrosion

We specialize in resolving extensive corrosion concerns impacting steel and reinforced concrete structures within mining facilities. Through collaborative partnerships, we conduct thorough site-wide investigations employing advanced techniques such as Radar and Ultrasonic tests, deflection surveys, structural analysis, and corrosion assessments. Our approach prioritizes cost-effective solutions while preserving structural integrity without disrupting facility operations or necessitating replacements.

Solution:
SITE WIDE STRUCTURAL AUDIT

Through partnership with the project owner, Vector carried out a site wide structural and corrosion investigation of all critical structures. Testing was carried out where necessary, including but not limited to Radar tests, Ultrasonic tests, deflection surveys, Structural analysis and corrosion surveys. Based on the results of the investigation, Vector provided the client with a comprehensive report which catalogued all the major structural issues and ranked them in terms of importance and urgency. In all cases, Vector provided the recommended solutions based on our least total cost philosophy. In no case was it necessary to take the structure out of service nor replace it.

RESULT

Our tailored approach effectively mitigated the widespread corrosion issues in mining facility structures. Collaborating closely with project owners, we conducted detailed investigations and delivered comprehensive reports pinpointing critical structural concerns. Our solutions, driven by cost-effectiveness and efficiency, restored structural integrity without interrupting operations or requiring replacements. This successful track record reflects our commitment to delivering effective solutions while maintaining seamless facility operations.
